Introduction

The Pakistan Heart Foundation (PHF) was established in 1974 to provide non-profit medicare, medical and paramedical training and mobile mountain service. The PHF acts through "service" (Muhammadi Hospital-Trust est. 1971), "research" (IMRC est. 1987), "training" (MMM, MHP, KSP). The PHF has a health facility the Muhammadi Hospital/ IMRC (Trust) in Hayatabad, Peshawar, offices in Islamabad and Chitral city. The PHF has a partici-patory development programme - the Mastuj Health Project (MHP) in the Mastuj tehsil, Chitral, sponsored by the Government of Pakistan.

Public Heart Education

PHF, through print, audio and video programs provides public heart awareness on prevention of cardiovascular disease.
